Customize your gown: we can change the fabric of your gown, or add piping to your gown, or change the velvet of your gown for less than you'd expect to pay for a custom gown.

Doctoral Hoods / PhD Hoods
In addition to the graduation gown, academic graduation hoods are required as part of full doctoral regalia. Academic hoods normally have one's degree color as the velvet, and the colors of the school where he/she graduated as the satin lining colors.
We recommend our deluxe hood for all deluxe and faculty regalia orders.
Deluxe hoods are available
in the "traditional-standard" version, or with "piping added". If piping is indicated but a color is not specified, we will use gold piping. Or if you prefer you can specify a specific color.
When ordering your academic hood, please be sure to specify your degree(for the velvet) and where you graduated from (for the lining), including the city, since often the same school may be representeted differently on the hood depending which campus you graduated from.

These robes are made with black fabric and
black velvet exclusively. If you prefer PhD blue velvet or another color velvet, fabric or piping, you will need to purchase the deluxe doctoral gown.
We recommend the deluxe hood for all faculty quality doctoral gowns.

The Souvenir Student Quality Doctoral Gown
Our Souvenir
Quality gowns are traditionally styled with velvet front velvet panels
starting at the yoke of the gown, and finishing at the hem. They also
feature full sleeves with three velvet stripes (chevrons) on each arm.
Gowns
in black with black velvet are usually available for immediate shipment.
Additionally, we offer quantity discounts on these
gowns.
The price will depend upon the quantity of caps and gowns (sets) being
purchased.
Few
faculty members choose Souvenir Quality gowns, since they can be used
only once or twice. However, many schools choose Souvenir Quality over
rental because we can sell them at below rental prices.
Each set comes individually wrapped with a cap, gown,
and tassel.
